Academic Scholarship

Purpose

The American Advertising Federation of the Black Hills’ (AAF-BH) Scholarship Program was established to assist talented high school seniors and post-secondary students in their studies of advertising and related fields. The scholarship awards students who, in addition to showing creativity and promise, have demonstrated leadership qualities through employment, participation in school and community activities, volunteer work and/or projects.

Guidelines

The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student pursuing a degree in advertising or related fields in South Dakota. Applicants will be evaluated by their employment and community experience, the letters of recommendations, application and essay.

All applications must be received by April 30, 2012.

Winner

The winner will be notified by phone and/or email no later than May 11,2012 and will be invited to attend the AAF-BH monthly luncheon on Tuesday, May 15, 2011 in Rapid City. When awarded, the scholarship will be applied against the student’s tuition as outlined in the agreement between the Executive Director and the American Advertising Federation of the Black Hills.
