Your Mail Made Easy!

Direct Mail Ain’t Dead — or Dull

While its sexy digital cousins are getting all the press these days, old reliable direct mail sometimes gets a bad rap as a has-been medium of old. Poppycock, my friends! Cutting-edge direct mail pieces are more creative and more effective than ever. Nationally recognized direct mail ninja Chris

Newman will show and share some of his most eye-popping collateral that are helping to reinvigorate response rates.

Chris Newman is a man on a mission. And that mission — to dispel the misconception that direct mail pieces are dull — has landed Euro RSCG/Chicago senior art director Chris Newman on Direct Marketing News’s new “30 Under 30″ list. While at Euro RSCG, Newman has worked with clients ranging from Sprint to Kraft Foods and Effen vodka, while doing pro bono work for Chicago’s Off the Street Club, an after-school program for inner city youth, and Cookies for Comfort, a not-for-profit that helps cancer patients. One of his most successful pieces of creative incorporated peanut butter and jelly in a promotion for Sprint. The Sprint piece reportedly generated a generous 10.5 percent response rate.

We would like to thank Rosemary Harvey and the gang at Western Mailers for supporting AAF-Black Hills by being this month’s program sponsor.
